The likes of Hugo Lloris, Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba, N'Golo Kante, Blaise Matuidi, Antoine Griezmann, Anthony Martial and Kingsley Coman made France's highly-anticipated EURO 2016 last night. Talent in abundance.
But it meant that manager Didier Deschamps had the unenviable task of leaving a huge amount of talent out of the final 23-man squad as the host nation look to re-create the infamous 1984 European Championships in France.
It's fair to say some notable players were left out of the final squad, including Karim Benzema, Alexandre Lacazette and Hatem Ben Arfa, who have all shone for their respected sides this season.
