Old Man City video shows how you treat a mascot, features Erling Haaland and Jack Grealish

Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish, Phil Foden and Kyle Walker interacted with the mascot.

An old Manchester City video has resurfaced on social media after Arsenal were slammed for how they treated a mascot.

Arsenal were ripped by fans online after the club shared a video of their players signing a mascot's shirt before their Premier League clash at West Ham United.

The clip was subjected to intense scrutiny as the Arsenal team failed to acknowledge the young girl.

The father of the mascot defended the Gunners and the players, stating that his daughter had a 'lovely time'.

He tweeted: "My daughter had a lovely time as Mascot for @Arsenal.

"There was only a small window to meet the players and she enjoyed it very much. Odegaard is her favourite player so to hold his hand onto the pitch was very special."
