After a complete agreement for the £86.4 million transfer was struck, Kane is set to fly out to Munich to undergo a medical and sign a four-year deal where he is in line to earn £480,000-a-week.

A surprise twist arrived on Friday morning when it emerged that Spurs had revoked permission for their talisman to jet out to Bavaria.

Sky Sports said Kane was on his way to Stansted Airport when he got the news and had to head back to a family home to await the green light.

Spurs are said to be keen on making some small tweaks to the deal at the last second and chairman Daniel Levy is currently across the pond in the United States.

But one man who definitely wants Kane to leave the Premier League for the Bundesliga is Shearer. Kane is hot on the tails of the Newcastle legend's record Premier League goals tally and the move might just deny him the chance of breaking it.

Shearer took to Twitter to post a photoshopped image of him acting as a pilot, brilliantly captioning it: "Come on Harry it’s time to go!".

Kane is 47 goals away from matching Shearer's 260 goals scored in the Premier League and has regularly talked about his desire of usurping the former Blackburn Rovers man.

Shearer has tipped him to do it but it appears as though Kane, who is in the final 12 months of his Spurs deal, could not turn down Bayern and the chance to compete for major trophies.

Despite suggestions that the deal could in limbo, Spurs stress that Kane does in fact have approval to travel to Munich to complete and that nothing has changed.

The 30-year-old is expected to take the vacant No.9 shirt at Bayern and could even make his debut in the DFL Supercup against RB Leipzig on Saturday providing everything is finalised.
