Man Utd fans spot moment between Antony and Rasmus Hojlund in training ahead of Galatasaray clash

Fans think a deadly partnership is brewing.

Manchester United fans have picked up on a connection between Antony and Rasmus Hojlund in the lead-up to their Champions League clash against Galatasaray.

Antony hasn't played since United's 3-2 defeat to Arsenal last month after he was allowed to take a 'period of absence' in order to address allegations of domestic abuse made by his former partner, which he has repeatedly denied.

On Friday, it was confirmed that the Brazilian winger would return to training, and Erik ten Hag hinted that he could contention to face Galatasaray on Tuesday.

New £72 million signing Hojlund is expected to lead the line for United against the Turkish giants, with the 20-year-old scoring his first goal for the club against Bayern Munich last time out in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, fans have spotted a moment between the pair during training, believing there is a connection between them which could be translated onto the pitch. You can watch the footage below.

Posting the video on Twitter, United fan @UTDKara wrote: "There seems to be a connection between Antony and Hojlund. It feels like Hojlund might be the perfect striker that Antony has been waiting for all this while."

Fellow supporters were quick to agree with the comments, with one user adding: "Without a question. If we are trying to play our strongest side they would definitely start.

"Definitely his ability to be an option in those wide areas and receive the ball is so underrated," a third chimed in.

"We hope so. If they link well they gonna bug some goals," a fourth remarked.

Fans spotted something similar between Hojlund and Marcus Rashford in the lead-up to their Crabao Cup win over Crystal Palace.

However, the duo are yet to link up how Ten Hag may have hoped, with United staff reportedly 'despairing' at Rashford's use of the ball.
