Chelsea are reportedly prepared to offer Kepa Arrizabalaga to Barcelona in a swap deal for Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

The Blues made Kepa the most-expensive goalkeeper in the world when they spent £71.6 million to sign Spaniard from Athletic Bilbao two years ago.

However, the 25-year-old has failed to live up to his price tag and Frank Lampard is said to be eyeing up a new keeper.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo believe that Chelsea would like to sign ter Stegen - with Kepa going the other way.

The club are keeping an eye on the German international's contract negotiations with the La Liga outfit.

Ter Stegen joined Barcelona in 2014 and has gone on to establish himself as one of the world's best keeper.

The former Borussia Monchengladbach man was named the club's best player this season, ahead of Lionel Messi.

A transfer is Chelsea's 'impossible dream' and they're aware of how hard it'd be to get the 28-year-old out of Catalonia.

Chelsea have also been linked with Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak in recent weeks as they look to strengthen this summer.

While many have speculated over Kepa's future, Lampard has urged the shot stopper to try and cement his place as a regular starter.

Speaking ahead of Chelsea's game against Liverpool on Wednesday evening, the former England man said: "What do I value in a goalkeeper?

"I think clearly you want them to be able to be as talented to keep balls out of the net, it's old school but obviously the first and foremost job of what a goalkeeper keeps close to their heart, the idea of clean sheets.

"It's not always solely on them, of course. For a keeper to have a real desire and talent to produce that.

But in the modern day they are even more involved in the play than ever, to use their feet to be a personality, to be an all-round goalkeeper which you see with top level goalkeepers in the world.

"We are fortunate at Chelsea where we can certainly say goalkeepers were part of huge eras at the club.

"That has to be Kepa's desire to be that person for this club and be goalkeeper in his own right and he can say he is a huge part of a successful team. It's not just on Kepa that. But in his own way that's what he has to believe and work towards.'

Do you think Chelsea will sign a new goalkeeper this summer?
