WWE are planning on holding an extraordinary pay-per-view event in the UK in September 2022.
That's according to a report by WhatCulture, which claims that Vince McMahon and his team want to stage their first pay-per-view event on this side of the pond since June 2003's 'The Insurrextion'. This was main evented by legends of the ring Triple H and Kevin Nash.
It's believed that McMahon wants to make this bigger than usual WWE pay-per-view events, with the report suggesting that the 76 year old is targeting an audience of around 90,000.

This means the spectacle is likely to be staged at Wembley Stadium, which hosted the iconic 'SummerSlam' show of 1992.
Scotsman Drew McIntyre, who is a two-time WWE champion, has spoken openly about his desire to bring a big pay-per-view event to the UK and made reference to it again in London last week, where WWE were wrapping up a four-event tour of England, Scotland and Wales.
"Next year is a very special occasion," he told the crowd after his clash with Jinder Mahal, as quoted by CultAholic. "I don't know if you all know, some of you weren't born at the time but next year is the 30-year anniversary of SummerSlam 1992. I've been talking about this non-stop because I'm gonna make it happen one way or another.
"I'll say it once, I'll say it a million times- the UK is going to get a significant pay-per-view if it's the last thing I do."

"This is what we need to do. Look at us right now, everyone in that locker room buzzes to come to the UK because we're the craziest, most passionate fans in the world. Keep this up for this tour, keep it up for November, show WWE, show Vince McMahon we deserve this and I sure as hell will make it happen!"
WWE will return to England in just over a month's time, with shows confirmed to be happening in Sheffield, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester.
