"Conor McGregor Will Join WWE" After Shock Defeat To Dustin Poirier

Conor McGregor has been tipped for a sensational move to WWE - with the 'Notorious' being told it is a "matter of when."

McGregor suffered a knockout loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 and many have wondered what is next for the former 'Champ-champ.'

Rumours have swirled for years regarding McGregor stepping foot into Vince McMahon's global empire, but one man thinks it will happen eventually.

"He's still staying active, he's a lad who's won belts, he's done a lot, so I think he's that type of person who's always trying to try his hand at something different.

"I think WWE would suit him down to the ground. You know, we've had a lot of people come in and out, [Floyd] Mayweather came in, a lot of celebrities have come in, a lot of sports people.

"So I don't think anyone would raise eyebrows if he came in to WWE. I don't think it's if, I think it's a matter of when to be honest."

Former WWE champion Sheamus continued: "If he wants to come in there with me, that's grand. He might get the fight of his life there, he might get couple of slaps he's not used to.

"His leg kicks were good, my leg was dead and I wasn't as comfortable as I needed to be," McGregor said after a third loss in the UFC.

"I have to dust it off and come back and that's what I'll do.
