WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy Has Been Arrested For DUI
WWE wrestler Jeff Hardy has been arrested for 'driving while impaired' after he allegedly crashed his car into a guiderail.
The 40-year-old former WWE champ was reported to have been involved in an incident in Concord, North Carolina on Saturday night.
An accident report, seen by the Daily Mirror, states Hardy "ran off the roadway to the right, in turn striking about 105ft of guardrail, before the back end of the car spun out 90 degrees to the left, coming to rest in the middle of the right northbound lane of travel."
The report says the car caused an estimated $5,000 (£3,602)
in damages to the guardrail, which was owned by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, and around $8,000 (£5,764) worth of damage to his 2016 Cadillac CTS-V.
He was released from custody shortly after his arrest.
According to records the former wrestler must appear at Cabarrus County court on 16 April, just days after Wrestlemania 34, which takes place on 8 April. Hardy has also had his driving licence revoked for at least 30 days, CBS reports.

Hardy had reportedly been given the OK to get back into the ring following surgery he had last year.
Saturday night wasn't his first brush with the law; in 2009 he was arrested for possession of anabolic steroids and for trafficking in controlled prescription pills. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 days in jail and a fine of $100,000 (£72,149).
WWE filmed The Ultimate Deletion with brother Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt at the Hardy Compound last week. However, it's not known if Jeff made an appearance, or the likelihood of him being edited out by WWE if so.
It is also uncertain whether there are plans in place to bring Hardy back for this year's Wrestlemania - although some wrestling sites had reported that it was looking likely, especially given his all-clear following the surgery on his shoulder. How this news will impact on future plans also remains to be seen.
In a statement to PWInsider.com, WWE said: "Jeff
Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions. We are
investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials."
