John Cena might not be the regular in-ring WWE star he once was, but there's no doubt that the leader of C-Nation will make the headlines when he does step back into the ring.

During a WWE live event in China, the 16-time World Champion dropped his new finisher: the 'Lightning Fist.'

Press Association

No, we're not actually kidding about this.

Cena partnered with Finn Bálor and Bobby Lashley in a six-man tag-team match against Elias, Jinder Mahal and Baron Corbin for the event. You can see Cena perform the Lightning Fist on Elias in the clip below, which proved to be the winning blow for his team.

Let's be honest: it's not the most mind-blowing move Cena has done in his career. Naturally, though, there's a reason why the former WWE Champion has adopted the move.

Cena says that the move was inspired by his time spent at Jackie Chan's Stunt Team International Training Centre.

You see, the wrestler is teaming up with the legendary Jackie Chan in the upcoming Project X. When it's put in that context, it makes sense why Cena's Lightning Fist has Jackie Chan's name written all over it.

Cena is expected to make his return at WWE Super Show-Down on October 6 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia. You can bet full well that there'll be a Five Knuckle Shuffle, Attitude Adjustment and Lightning Fist combination that'll take place at the event.

Who knows? Maybe Cena might need the Lightning Fist if he hopes to redeem himself against The Undertaker after his squash match at WrestleMania 34. If there's a rematch for next year - and it's hard not to rule out that possibility - then Cena will need his new signature move against the Phenom.
