Triple H says the "door is open" for Tyson Fury to return to WWE in the near future.

After his bout with Otto Wallin, the Gypsy King made a switch to the world of wrestling and squared off against 6ft8,420 lb monster Braun Strowman at the Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia.

Fury debuted in winning fashion via count-out when he put Strowman down with a powerful right hand outside the ring and the Monster Among Men failed to answer the referee's ten count.

The lineal heavyweight champion's focus is on his rematch with WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in Las Vegas.

But he plans to come back into the fold for a Wrestlemania bout with champion Brock Lesnar - something Triple H, executive vice president of WWE's talent, live events and creative, would very much welcome.

Speaking at a media conference before NXT UK Takeover: Blackpool II, The Game said: "Having done a lot of the promotion for the last time he worked with us, there's thoughts out of there for a lot of things with Tyson Fury.

"He had a blast and one of the things I learned doing press with him for the other time he worked with us was that as a kid he saw himself becoming a WWE superstar, not a boxer.

"The entertainment side of it, that showmanship side of him is in front so I think he would love to do something more with us and [it be] a bigger thing.

"I think he understands the entertainment value and the door is open. The door is open on our side and the door is open on his side but there's a lot of things in between now and then.

"That fight on February 22nd will be huge for him as to what his next steps are in all of this. We're open to that but it needs to be right for everybody."

Fury, who made a reported £12 million from his WWE gig, has repeatedly called out former UFC heavyweight champ Lesnar and believes he could beat him in a "proper fight".

"I fancy a fight with Brock, for sure," he told the True Geordie Podcast in November.

"I've watched a few of his fights.

"[He's] pretty handy, but I can flatten him. In a WWE match or a proper fight, I can flatten Brock Lesnar in 30 seconds."
