The Sickening Moment Wrestler Has A Brick Hurled At His Head During Match

The Sickening Moment Wrestler Has A Brick Hurled At His Head During Match

A professional wrestler was forced to have emergency surgery after being hit with a brick during a match in Puerto.

At a show co-run by Lucha Libre Boom and Lucha Memes, Cuervo came up against Angel o Demonio in a brutal hardcore deathmatch.

These kind of matches are renowned for featuring all kinds of weapons and a whole lot of of scary stunts. But in a frightening scene, Cuervo was legitimately knocked unconscious outside the ring after Demonio hurled a huge brick at the back of his head.

It has been reported that Demonio threw the concrete block in retaliation for the chair shots he was hit with earlier on in the match.

In no fit state to finish the match, Cuervo would then be escorted to the back by a ringside doctor and it later emerged he had to have emergency surgery to remove a blood clot in his brain. Fortunately, as per an update from his manager, Cuervo is in a stable condition.

As for Demonio, he apologised and said he was aiming for his opponent's back but that hasn't stopped him from receiving widespread criticism for his actions - with WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle angrily condemning his conduct.

The 54-year old has also been given an indefinite suspension from the Mexico City Boxing and Wrestling Commission after an official statement was written by Executive Secretary Juan Jose Herrera Rodriguez.

Wrestling comes with all sorts of risks but this was a very stupid one that could have been so easily avoided.
