WWE Legend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Will Make Return In 2018

WWE Legend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin Will Make Return In 2018

Remember when Steve Austin won the WWE Championship from Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania XIV and good ol' Jim Ross screamed "STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD!"

I can confirm that was my exact reaction when finding out that The Texas Rattlesnake would be making a historic return to the company in 2018.

The Hall of Famer will be among a host of WWE Legends returning for the 25th anniversary of Raw on January 22nd and my inner child just fist pumped the air with joy.

When SPORTbible interviewed another WWE legend, 'The Nature Boy' Ric Flair...

WWE confirmed the news on their official website earlier today and on top of Stone Cold's eagerly anticipated return, the company announced a handful of other legends who will grace the ring once again.

  • The Undertaker
  • D-Generation X
  • Jim Ross
  • Jerry Lawler
  • The Dudley Boyz
  • Ric Flair
  • Scott Hall and Kevin Nash
  • The Bella Twins
  • The New Age Outlaws
  • Ron Simmons
  • JBL

That's right. The Undertaker will return to the ring for the first time since his defeat to Roman Reigns at last year's WrestleMania, in Orlando, after which he symbolically laid his trademark hat, gloves and trenchcoat in the middle of the ring. The great Jim Ross will also make an appearance alongside his longtime broadcast partner Jerry 'The King' Lawler and 16 time World Champion Ric Flair and The Dudley Boyz.

As you can imagine, social media was delighted to hear that Stone Cold was returning to the WWE ring:

The countdown begins. There's just 13 days to go until the likes of Stone Cold and The Undertaker return to the ring as wrestling fans from all generations embrace to celebrate three hours of pure, unadulterated nostalgia.
