Brock Lesnar could once again reignite his feud with former UFC foe Cain Velasquez for an epic showdown at WrestleMania 36, according to reports.

The 42-year-old WWE champ clashed with Velasquez at Crown Jewel in October and squashed his fierce rival in a matter of minutes.

According to talkSPORT, WWE is weighing up the possibility of booking a so-called 'rubber match' between Lesnar and Velasquez.

Former two-time UFC heavyweight champ Velasquez, 37, defeated the 'Beast' inside the octagon in 2010 at UFC 121.

And Lesnar picked up a victory at Crown Jewel to level the scores at 1-1, with WWE planning the rubber match to break the deadlock between the pair.

However, talkSPORT reports that the company could also snub the third contest between Lesnar and Velasquez in favour of pitting the 'Beast' against Tyson Fury.

Brit superstar Fury, 31, was involved in a storyline with Braun Strowman and made his sensational in-ring debut at Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

But WWE is looking at the possibility of bringing the 'Gypsy King' to the Showcase of the Immortals depending on what happens in his upcoming clash with Deontay Wilder.

Fury is scheduled to rematch the 'Bronze Bomber' on 22nd February for the WBC championship in Las Vegas, according to reports.

And talkSPORT claims that Fury capturing the WBC championship would make the 'allure of having a boxing world champion face Lesnar' a blockbuster prospect for WWE.

Fury teased last month that he would love to set up a showdown with Lesnar at the Grandest Stage of Them All.

And the 'Gypsy King' continued to flirt with the idea of building a rivalry with the WWE champ when he said that he could "flatten" him in a "WWE match or a proper fight."

Lesnar, who defended the WWE Championship against Rey Mysterio at Survivor Series last month, is reportedly on a short-term hiatus with the company.

According to reports, the ex-UFC superstar will return in mid-January in the build-up to his next match at the 2020 Royal Rumble.

WrestleMania 36 will be held on 5th April 2020 at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
