UFC Debutant Wins With Most Incredible Knock Out

Jose 'Shorty' Torres hit what can only be called an MMA Canadian Destroyer, wrestling fans will be extremely proud.

Usually in UFC the ways to end a fight early are confined to throwing a punch, a kick, a knee or locking in a submission on your opponent but they aren't usually ended with moves from the world of professional wrestling.

There's occasions when UFC does wrestling better than wrestling. Vince McMahon probably wouldn't want to hear that in some ways Dana White wouldn't want to either.

Of course WWE and professional wrestling is predetermined and built on fake rivalries that are manufactured for television and entertainment purposes. However aside from the predetermined bit that's what happens with a lot of UFC, and boxing, fights these days.

Promos and hype videos in the actual sports are getting more and more like sports entertainment by the day so it's about time that UFC took some more inspiration from the squared circle to the octagon.

On Friday night Jose 'Shorty' Torres knocked out opponent Jarred Brooks at UFC Fight Night 131 on his first appearance for the company.

He did it with what looked an awful lot like wrestling move Canadian Destroyer. Brooks lifted his opponent up but it was also Brooks who landed on his head and after some shots from Torres it was all over:

Look you can argue all you like that Brooks essentially knocks himself out but having watched thousands of hours of professional wrestling I know a Canadian Destroyer when I see one:

Torres is the former Titan FC flyweight champion and in winning his UFC debut he took his record to 8-0 whilst Brooks was stopped for the first time, taking his record to 13-2.

When Brock Lesnar returns to UFC and hits the F-5 to win a match I'll be truly happy, until then I'll make do with accidental Canadian Destroyers.
