Footage of Khabib Nurmagomedov arriving back in his dressing room after defeating Conor McGregor at UFC 229 shows how he analysed the fight.

Khabib and Conor a very heated rivalry going into their fight in October 2018, before the Russian defeated the Irishman in the fourth round of their fight.

Of course things didn't end there, with the Eagle jumping into the crowd to attack Dillon Danis, one of McGregor's teammates, whilst two of the Russian's entourage got in the octagon to attack the Notorious.

However things were much calmer for Khabib when he returned to the dressing room. Footage from behind the scenes on the night have shown what he said after the fight.

Talking to someone from his team, Khabib can be heard saying, "I told you guys he is tap machine, he cannot do 5 rounds," referring to a prediction that he would stop McGregor inside the distance.

You can see Khabib and his dressing room's reaction from 4:20 onwards.

It's quite striking how calm the UFC lightweight champion and his team are as they enter the dressing room considering the crazy scenes at the end of the fight, never mind the 20 minutes previous.

The champ does return without the belt, following his win over the former champion, which was due to the post fight attack, but Dana White didn't end up stripping the winner of the belt.

Khabib did end up with a $500,000 fine and a nine month suspension following the post fight incident, with his rival getting a six month ban.

Khabib would go on to face Dustin Poirier in September 2019, following the end of his suspension, defending his title once again.

Then he was meant to face Tony Ferguson, finally, but Covid-19 put an end to that fight, with El Cucuy going on to lose to Justin Gaethje for the interim title.

At UFC 254 in October, Khabib defeated the highlight to unify the title before announcing his retirement at the end of the fight.

Dana White has claimed he thinks the unbeaten fighter will return to action but Khabib recently denied that idea, saying, "I had a goal to reach the summit and I got there. Further, I have no competitive interest. Next year I will graduate.

"I'd like to [build on] my thesis, do a masters course, dedicate more time to studying."
