Conor McGregor Posts First Post Fight Picture After Khabib Nurmagomedov Loss

Conor McGregor was forced to tap out by Khabib Nurmagomedov on Saturday at UFC 229, losing his chance to win back the lightweight title.

Conor McGregor took some punishment on Saturday night, not only by Khabib Nurmagomedov but also by his teammates, and the Notorious has now posted a picture of the results of those shots.

It's likely that people will be talking about UFC 229 for quite a while. Really we'd like to be talking about Derrick Lewis and how the 'Black Beast' secured a brutal K.O and then went on to talk about his hot balls in the post match interview.

Equally we'd like to be talking about how Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov put on an absolute barnstormer of a fight that 'the Eagle' won with a reverse choke submission in the fourth round.

Unfortunately the event will go down in history because of the aftermath of the lightweight title main event where the Russian jumped over the cage to attack one of Khabib's stablemates, the Irishman tried to stop someone joining Khabib and then in turn got beaten by members of his opponents team.

Now McGregor has taken to Twitter to show the war wounds to his face that he suffered:

The former lightweight and flyweight champion doesn't look too beat up in fairness but that's an impressive black eye, and fortunately it does look like it was done by Khabib.

McGregor already took to social media to say that he wants a rematch with Khabib and after their first fight it is something that in theory we'd like to see again:

The reason I say 'in theory' is because the stuff between the bells sounding was great but everything around it was really ugly.

Even before the fight the conforntation in New York when McGregor through a trolley at a bus and the constant jibes in the press conferences often went too far and then Khabib's attack on Saturday night just made it all even worse.

Hopefully if there is a rematch we can keep to less ugly scenes.
