A Slovakian man boasting to be a Conor McGregor 'lookalike' has opened a pub and restaurant in honour of the UFC superstar.

Mikulas Gerenyi has started to make headlines after opening the doors to 'The Notorious' in the town of Cierna nad Tisou, which is in the Kosice Region of Slovakia.

And Gerenyi's choice of name for the establishment fittingly takes its inspiration from McGregor's nickname.

The Slovakian lookalike told RT that he aims to meet the 31-year-old Irishman in his restaurant and also distribute his alcohol brand, Proper No Twelve Whiskey, in Eastern Europe.

"I opened this restaurant six months ago, and I named it in honor of the king of the UFC, Conor 'The Notorious' McGregor," Gerenyi explained.

"The world has never seen [a] fighting style like his, and of course, I am a huge fan of Conor, which is why I named my restaurant after him.

'My dream is [to] meet him in my restaurant and become a distributor for his whiskey in Eastern Europe, in Slovakia my home country, Hungary and the Czech Republic."

According to reports, McGregor spotted Gerenyi's interview and reposted it on his Instagram Story.

Gerenyi posted a promotional video of his restaurant in an Instagram video and it has the lookalike imitating McGregor's different styles, including his billionaire strut.

And The Notorious is draped with Irish flags, includes McGregor's Proper No Twelve and features different photos and artwork inside and outside of the restaurant.

"First place in the world named after the king of UFC," he wrote as the video's caption.

And fight fans are impressed with the effort that Gerenyi has put towards the restaurant.

"Haha nice where is this?" one Instagram commenter wrote.

While user stefhupkabjj wrote: "Is in my country, Slovakia! Come to visit us!"

A third posted: "Appears we have a trip on our hands."

And a fourth user added: "McGregor posted you in stories."

McGregor, who has been out of the octagon since his defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov in 2018, announced last month that he will make his UFC comeback in 2020.

And the Irishman has shared photos of him training ahead of his return and fans are speculating about him possibly fighting Jorge Masvidal at 170lbs.
