Nate Diaz has responded to Conor McGregor's Tweet and it's brutal.

The Irishman took some time to reflect on his UFC 196 bout against Diaz on Tuesday's three-year anniversary.

McGregor lost the first meeting via submission. He tapped out in the second round after a crazy opening round.

The former 'champ-champ' called his first battle with Diaz as 'one of the craziest fights ever' before talking about the rematch in another post.

"What a sequence! One of the craziest fights ever. Also the birth of McGregor FAST! The rematch was voted the greatest fight in UFC history. My last one was a small bit wild also haha I love this game. This is my 3rd level of income at this point. I just do it because I love it."

McGregor got his revenge by outpointing Diaz at UFC 202 in a five-round war.

"It's fascinating to me watching that loss back. Then watching the come back. We can always come back! Anyone can do something once. It's Can you do it twice is the question. That's why I doubled up on the belts every time. Any fool can do it once."

Diaz has since weighed in, and it's savage.

"You acting like you came back. In real life your dead," he wrote on Twitter.

The Stockton-native hasn't fought since his loss to McGregor in August 2016.

Meanwhile, McGregor is expected to return to the Octagon in September following his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229.
