Dana White has confirmed that he has been involved in talks over holding a potential fight between Tom Cruise and Justin Bieber in the UFC.

Speaking at this year's Hashtag Sports, the 49-year-old UFC president said he would love the opportunity to make the fight happen between the Hollywood actor and Canadian singer.

"I should have known this was going to be the first question," he said.

"Listen, if I can make that fight, I'd be all over that fight. It'd be the biggest pay-per-view in the history of pay-per-view."

According to MMA Junkie, moderator Jason Gay pressed White on the seriousness of his involvement in the bout.

But White made it clear that he would want to make the fight happen inside of the octagon.

"It is true," he admitted, before adding: "As crazy as that sounds, that is true. ... I don't want to use any names, but I was at home on a Sunday, and I got a call with two big guys on the phone.

"They were telling me this could possibly happen and this could be real. I'm like, 'There's no way that this is really going to happen. But if it does, call me back. I'm in.'"

Bieber, 25, issued a challenge to the Mission: Impossible and Top Gun star, but then he decided to withdraw from a fight.

And the heartthrob and famous hitmaker decided to play with fire again when he made a U-turn and said that he would fight Cruise, 56, in an MMA fight.

According to White, he couldn't turn down the chance to host the match due to how lucrative it would be on PPV.

"Oh my God, it would be massive," he said.

"It would be massive. Everybody laughed when we talked about this, so you've heard of it. Who wouldn't watch that?

"Everybody would watch it. It's a complete train wreck, and I love it, and I'm in. I'm in."

Who would win in a fight?
