Jake Paul has managed to get into beef with every man and his dog in the MMA world of late.

And he's supremely confident for a man whose first venture into the cage did not go to plan.

After UFC's Nate Diaz went in on Paul for his foul-mouthed call-out of Conor McGregor, Paul replied by telling him, "I really beat your boy up" in a post on Twitter.

He was referring to Diaz's teammate AJ Agazarm, who he has crossed paths with a fair few times.

When they sparred in the squared circle, Paul, now 2-0 professionally in boxing, looked especially dominant and caught his opponent with some brutal combinations.

But back in 2017, the pair mixed it up inside the cage in an MMA bout at the UFC gym and the result was very different.

Agazarm, a black belt and world champion in brazilian jiu-jitsu, didn't really get out of first gear but showed his superior grappling and ground game.

There was a prank played by he and the referee where they led Paul to believe he had been disqualified due to an eye-poke but the fight was actually done and dusted in the second round for real after the YouTuber tapped to an armbar.

The full fight was posted on Paul's channel and has garnered over 5 million views.

Agazarm had an amateur MMA record of 8-0 and made his professional debut for Bellator in losing fashion in 2019.

He then won his next three fights before succumbing to a defeat at the hands of Chris Lencion at Bellator 243. In October of this year he was released by Bellator.

Feeling untouchable after his devastating knockout of former NBA star Nate Robinson on the Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr undercard, Paul is going after McGregor and offered him $50 million for a fight.

What's more, he also pulled up on McGregor's teammate Dillon Danis and pelted him with objects before scurrying away when the MMA fighter gave chase.

UFC president Dana White's assessment of Paul's antics was a frank one.

Speaking to TMZ Sports, he said: "[McGregor] is one of the greatest fighters on Earth right now.

"He shouldn't be fighting kids that have f**king YouTube videos."
