Is Anthony Joshua the next big star to make the crossover to the UFC? The world heavyweight champion has his hands full with Joseph Parker in Cardiff's WBA (super), IBF, WBO and IBO title fight on 31 March but it's certainly looking as though we will be seeing 'AJ' in the Octagon at some point down the line.

After earning his 50th and final career victory over Conor McGregor in the record-breaking boxing bout last summer, Floyd Mayweather says he is set to start MMA training with UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.

However, Joshua also harbours hopes of dipping his fists into the world of MMA and it seems as though UFC are as interested in him, as he is in what their sport has to offer.

According to a report from The Telegraph's Boxing correspondent, UFC are to make a whopping £353 million multi-fighter approach for the biggest star in boxing.

Ever since his professional debut in 2013, Joshua has been managed and promoted by Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing, but Dana White and UFC see dollar signs in the 20-0 fighter and want to do business together.

White, who previously said he feels Joshua has "changed the face of boxing", is poised to be in attendance at the Principality Stadium for the Parker bout and wants to meet with the 28-year old fighter and his representatives.

Joshua recently spoke of his interest in having an MMA fight and even picked out some household names as preferred opponents.

Speaking to Sky Sports' boxing's Toe 2 Toe podcast, he said:

"I feel like a good scrap would be, I think the guy from Congo [Francis Ngannou, who is from Cameroon]. I think he just lost recently. Big unit, that'd be a good scrap.

"Then you've got Jon Jones, that'd be a good scrap.

"Yeah. I'd have to obviously have a couple of warm-up fights because you have to learn the submissions and stuff. But a fight's a fight at the end of the day. Yeah man, I'd do it."

Is Joshua to UFC inevitable?
