Dana White has admitted that he understands why Conor McGregor has decided to retire, despite claiming an 'insane number of people are gunning for him personally.'
McGregor, 31, stunned the world once again by claiming that he had retired from MMA only hours after UFC 250 on Saturday.

White, 50, has been involved in a heated dispute with UFC legend Jon Jones over alleged pay demands he made for a Francis Ngannou mega-fight.
And the UFC president recently experienced another public fallout with Jorge Masvidal amid the UFC star's stalled fight negotiations.
Speaking after UFC 250 in Las Vegas, White launched a passionate expletive-filled rant about the problems he has experienced with fighters in recent weeks.
The UFC chief also admitted that even he has had times where he would "throw my f*****g hands up and I'm ready to say: 'F**k this s**t!'"
White told reporters: "So I will remind everybody that we're in a pandemic, the world is a crazy place right now with all these things that are going on.
"I think everybody feels this right now. I think everybody is p****d off, confused, people are locked up in their houses for three-and-a-half months, people are wearing masks.
"There's protests, there's riots -- the list goes on and on. If you don't think that what I'm doing right now is probably the hardest thing that I've ever done, and if you don't think that three times a day I throw my f*****g hands up and I'm ready to say: 'F**k this s**t!'"

"Believe me, the amount of people I have gunning for me right now is insane. It's insane. But here we are. This is our fifth fight, no other sports are going right now but us.
"One of the beautiful things about this sport is you don't have to fight. This isn't the NBA or the NFL where you better be at practice, you better show up to do this -- you don't have to do anything here."
When asked about McGregor's retirement claim, White responded: "Nobody is pressuring anybody to fight.
"And if Conor McGregor feels he wants to retire, you know my feelings about retirement -- you should absolutely do it.
"And I love Conor... there's a handful of people that have made this really fun for me. And he's one of them.
"If that's what Conor is feeling right now -- Jon Jones, Jorge Masvidal, I feel you. It's not like I'm going, 'Holy [expletive], this is crazy, this is nuts.'
"Nothing is crazy and nuts right now, because everything is crazy and nuts right now, on a certain level. I totally understand it and get it."
Justin Gaethje wasted no time in responding to McGregor over his latest retirement claim and pulled no punches towards his UFC rival.
