"And that's the bottom line..."

Brian Kelleher's nickname in UFC is 'Boom' but he channeled his inner 'Texas Rattlesnake' last night when he came out to Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance music.

Anyone who has watched WWE's 'Attitude Era' will be well aware that when that glass shatters, it's going down.

And though there was no beers guzzled or stunners dished out, Kelleher did a good job of "opening up a can of whoop-ass" on his opponent inside the Octagon at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.

He made quick work of Ray Rodriguez, a late replacement for scheduled opponent Kevin Natividad, by putting him away in the first round courtesy of a guillotine choke, with the finish earning him a tidy performance of the night bonus.

After losing his first professional fight to to the maneuver, seven of Kelleher's ten submission victories have been achieved courtesy of the chokehold.

The 34-year old has already fought four times in UFC this year, winning three and losing one, and he is targeting one more bout at bantamweight before 2020 is done and dusted.

Here's hoping his next entrance sees him wearing Austin's trademark smoking skull vest jacket while Dana White throws him some Steveweisers.
