Having been postponed earlier this month, UFC 249 is now set to take place on May 9th.
Last night the MMA promotion confirmed that the next four UFC events have been cancelled/rescheduled, including UFC 250 on May 9 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
But news has just broken from ESPN's Brett Okamoto that Dana White's alternative plan is to move UFC 249 to that very same date, at a location which has yet to be disclosed.
UFC president White had been determined to put on the UFC 249 event on April 18 - even managing to secure Justin Gaethje as a swift replacement to face Tony Ferguson in the main event - in addition to a secret location at an Indian casino in California.

White had to pull the plug on the instruction of those high up in Disney and ESPN but it appears as though he has now got the green light to run the event next month.
And with recent cancellations it could well be a quite incredible feast of fighting in store, with UFC targeting a monstrous card for the big return.
Some of the targeted fights include the rescheduling of Ferguson vs Gaethje, a bantamweight title fight between Henry Cejudo and Dominick Cruz and Francis Ngannou vs Jairzinho Rozenstruik in the heavyweight division.
The entire planned card can be found here:
