Tyron Woodley has named UFC superstar Khabib Nurmagomedov amongst the fighters he wants to take on inside the octagon.

The 37-year-old UFC fighter has been out of the octagon since he lost the UFC welterweight championship to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235 in March.

But Woodley has taken to Twitter to name four fighters on his radar and the order in which he would want to fight them.

The 'Chosen One' picked UFC welterweight champ Usman as the first name on his list in the hopes of avenging his loss.

According to Woodley, Colby Covington and Israel Adesanya are second and third respectively on his wish list.

Finally, the American would want a clash with UFC lightweight champ Khabib.

Woodley was scheduled to have a rematch with Robbie Lawler in June, but he was forced out of the fight due to a hand injury.

The ex-welterweight champ has been training at the Tristar Gym in Montreal alongside Firas Zahabi and UFC legend Georges St-Pierre, who retired from MMA in February.

And Zahabi told MMA Junkie on Wednesday that UFC fans can expect Woodley to have "new tricks in his bag."

He explained: "When you're champion for a long time, people are getting to know your style.

"I think what happens is everyone is always watching the No 1 guy, the champion, so they start figuring him out.

"Not as many people are watching the guy who is No 10 or No 15 or No 4.

"They're all watching the No 1 guy. So the No 1 guy has to keep reinventing himself.

"With Tyron, we're going to try to add a new wrinkle that nobody knows so that, when he goes back in there, he'll be at the same level, of course, but he'll have new tricks in his bag, new surprises for his opponents.

"Things that he's comfortable doing that'll work and they're going to have to figure him out on fight night, not before fight night because he's going to be having a new wrinkle, a new dimension to his game."

Usman, 32, is set to return to the octagon against Covington in a stacked UFC 245 card on 14th December.
