Security Lost Their Sh*t When Khabib Jumped Out Of The Octagon After UFC 242
When Khabib Nurmagomedov jumped out of the Octagon after his UFC 242 victory over interim lightweight champion Dustin Poirier, the security guards thought it was UFC 229 all over again.
Back in October, moments after retaining his UFC lightweight title by choking out the Conor McGregor in round four, we found out exactly why the Dagestani fighter is nicknamed 'The Eagle' when he jumped out of the Octagon and attacked members of the Irishman's camp.
There was panic aplenty from the security in his next fight, over in Abu Dhabi, as he moved to 28-0 in dominant fashion last night when he replicated his actions.
But this time Khabib wasn't looking for trouble, he leapt out of the cage so that he could share an embrace with UFC president Dana White - who posted a video of the "madness" on his Twitter account.
Who can blame White for his slight bit of hesitation to begin with?! But obviously Khabib was in a happy, jovial mood unlike just under a year ago in Las Vegas when he lost his head big-time.
McGregor, the man who caused him to go batshit mental after their bitter UFC 229 clash, called for a rematch in Moscow after seeing Khabib's win last night.
But Khabib himself has other ideas - he wants to fight UFC legend George St-Pierre in a charity fight.
Speaking after the fight, he said: "George St Pierre is great. A great guy, great champion, and a great athlete. he is very good example for young kids. I know he is retired, but if he wanna come back and if he feel hungry and if he feel he can improve his legacy with fight with me and he can make 155, I am waiting for him.
"...Maybe I can fight with GSP. George St Pierre is very very big star. They can build this arena in next three months. And we can fight somewhere in Congo. And all money we make we can use on charity."
