Conor McGregor Climbs Ahead Of Khabib Nurmagomedov In UFC’s Pound-For-Pound Rankings After Massive Blunder
A shocking error caused Conor McGregor to climb to the top of UFC's pound-for-pound rankings not long after Khabib Nurmagomedov was named No 1.
Khabib, 32, secured a sensational second-round victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 last month before announcing his shock retirement from the sport.
UFC's updated rankings saw the undefeated Khabib climb to the No 1 spot, despite Jones slamming the decision to put him at the top of the pile.
However, eagle-eyed fans spotted that Khabib's fierce rival had climbed to the top spot in a shocking blunder.
Screenshots showed McGregor at No 1, Jones in the second place and Khabib placing third.

The error has since been corrected on UFC's website as the 'Eagle' sits at No 1 and McGregor is ranked at No 11.
But the Irish superstar shocked the world in June when he announced his retirement from MMA, only to make a U-turn on his decision ahead of another comeback.
McGregor, who has flaunted his physique after training hard, is expected to face Dustin Poirier in January 2021.
The 'Notorious' paid tribute to Khabib after he announced his retirement, though he has continued to maintain his war of words with his fierce rival.
The former UFC dual champ has continued to tease fans ahead of his potential comeback with cryptic posts on social media.
