Conor McGregor once revealed he was being stalked by a female fan who would send him detailed emails declaring her love for the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion.

The 32-year-old, who will come up against Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 on January 24, spoke about the incident during the Notorious documentary via The Mirror - and even read one of the emails out on camera.

In one of the scenes, McGregor was preparing for his fight against featherweight champion Jose Aldo when the Irish fighter pulled out his phone to read one of the email's from this obsessed female fan.

"The email is 'For Conor's eyes only please' and this is about the 150th." McGregor says.

"Hi Conor, after my last relationship broke down I had a very powerful feeling in my body that I was soon to meet the love of my life. At around the same time I had the vision of being in Vegas.

"I do need one thing from you at this stage, please be honest about what is going on here.

"I feel like we have been sharing this love online and elsewhere. I see us having a number of children; Ella, Shannon, Conor, Hugh, Michael, James, Seamus are some names I have in mind."

McGregor then points out that he has responded to any of the emails.

"Now, I have not written back to this crazy b**** once, but she keeps on sending emails, emails, emails - like big detailed ones like that, naming the kids and things, its f****** up, isn't it?" he said.

"What do you do with that? That b**** will show up at the gaff one day with a bleedin' gun or something."

Around a year later, in a more casual experience with a fan, McGregor pointed out a cardboard cut-out of himself on an apartment balcony in Los Angeles ahead of his bout against Nate Diaz at UFC 196.

McGregor can be seen driving his £300,000 Rolls Royce when a fan shouts "Conor, you're the man!" from his home.

Conor then points up at the man and responds by saying he will visit him the following day.

Despite his extremely busy schedule, the Dublin-born fighter did not break his promise and followed his word.

As you can see in the below footage, the emotional fan turns out to be a massive fan of the Irishman, even owning the same trainers as the former lightweight champion, as well as other McGregor memorabilia.
