Khabib Nurmagomedov Sends 'I Told You So' Message To Conor McGregor And His Fans

"I told you that on October 6, I would say everything - or did you actually think you could beat me in there?"

Just days after he made Conor McGregor submit in the fourth round at UFC 229, Khabib Nurmagomedov has posted a very bold statement on Instagram.

Khabib was insulted on a number of occasions before 'the biggest fight in UFC history', but the Russian had the last laugh in Las Vegas on Saturday night, especially when he knocked 'Notorious' to the floor and shouted "Let's talk now" as he pummeled the Irish fighter in the second round.

The 30-year-old's win was somewhat overshadowed when he jumped over the Octagon to attack McGregor's trainer, Dillon Danis.

That being said, Khabib apologised for his actions in the post-fight press conference and has now released the following statement on Instagram, firing shots at his opponent, telling him "I told you so."

"Friend, even now you are slowing down, I'm uncomfortable for you myself," he said via Instagram.

"I told you that on October 6, I would say everything - or did you actually think you could beat me in there?

"I apologise to everyone whom I have offended in our common victory. And my sincere Fans - you are just a space. Thank you for your incredible support, I love you, yours truly - Khabib Nurmagomedov."

The picture of Khaib laughing received over 1.5 million likes in the space of two hours, as fans of both the Russian and McGregor reacted.

The Russian then uploaded another two pictures on Monday morning. One message included: "I think I need new haters, otherwise I will start to like the old ones."

While the other said: "My face when someone says that I didn't like my jump, but I tried so hard."

As we mentioned earlier, Khabib has since apologised for his reaction in a post-match press conference after he jumped the cage and attacked McGregor's trainer, Dillon Danis.

"I want to say sorry to the athletic commission, sorry to Vegas. I know this is not my best side," he explained.

"I don't understand how people can say I jumped on the cage. He talked about my religion, my family, he came to Brooklyn and could have killed people on the bus.

"Why are we talking about me climbing on the cage? My father taught me to be respectful. Today, he tapped, the belt is here, undisputed, undefeated UFC Lightweight Champion. This is a respectful sport, not a trash-talking sport."

Something tells me this isn't the end of the Khabib vs McGregor rivalry.
