UFC's next four events have been cancelled, the MMA promotion have confirmed.

Having recently confirmed that UFC 249 would not be going ahead despite Dana White trying to find a way to run the show, events up until May 16th have now been postponed.

UFC released an official statement on their website, informing fans that Fight Night shows in Nebraska, Oklahoma City and San Diego, as well as UFC 250 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, will no longer take place.

UFC president White had been determined to put on the UFC 249 event - even managing to secure Justin Gaethje as a swift replacement to face Tony Ferguson in the main event - in addition to a secret location at an Indian casino in California.

However, with the powers that be at ESPN and Disney asking him to do so, White had to admit defeat.

The 50-year old had stressed that his planned 'fight island' would still be going ahead in the near future and estimated it would get off the ground in the next month.

There had also been talking of White assembling a monstrous mooted card for a UFC event on May 9th and the latest word from UFC is that the show in Sao Paulo "will not continue as planned" as opposed to it saying "cancelled".

Also tonight, news broke that Lyman Good has become the first active UFC fighter to test positive for coronavirus. The 34-year old was forced to withdraw from the now null and void UFC 249 event as a result.

Fortunately, he told ESPN's Ariel Helwani's that he is now on the mend.
