Nate Diaz has astonishingly claimed he will not be competing at UFC 244 after test results highlighted "elevated levels" from what are said to be "tainted supplements".
The Stockton Slugger is slated to face Jorge Masvidal for the newly introduced 'BMF' title but, in a lengthy and typically outspoken statement, he says he will not making the trip to New York as it stands.
Diaz denies any wrongdoing and says he only takes natural food supplements and doesn't eat meat but elected to not stay silent until after the fight because he isn't "gonna have my name tainted as a cheater".
If Nate Diaz is really out of #UFC244, I'll be devastated. And at this short notice, there's no one else the UFC could draft in to fight Jorge Masvidal who would create a similar or bigger buzz.

The shocking news is set to deny fight fans an absolute war between two of the very baddest to ever stepped foot in the Octagon. According to MMA journalist Chisanga Malata, Leon Edwards could be the favourite to replace Diaz on November 2.
Been told the UFC have had a replacement on standby in case of injury or unforeseen circumstances scuppering Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz.

That man is none other than Leon Edwards.
He's been paid to be in training camp and is likely the front runner to replace Nate. #UFC244
