Dana White will be watching UFC Fight Night from his office instead of Octagon side because he refuses to wear a face mask.

UFC returns to Las Vegas for UFC on ESPN 9: Woodley vs. Burns following a string of shows in Florida amid the coronavirus crisis.

But the UFC boss won't be watching the fights from his usual spot next to the cage as he refuses to wear a face mask which is one of the new protocols introduced by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

The NSAC have requested all fighters, coaches and staff to wear protective masks at all times during fight week.

It appears White is unwilling to adhere to NSAC's safety measure which means he'll watch the show from his office in the UFC APEX.

The UFC is back in the fight capital of the world and ahead of the event from the promotion's base, White revealed that the company expects to lose over $100 million due to the lack of live gates.

"If you look at these other sports right now, 'Are we gonna go or are we not gonna go?'" he said.

"The big problem for all sports right now, me, them, is the gate. We'll lose over $100 million dollars this year. Over $100 million. It would be much easier for me to sit back and say, 'Let's wait this thing out.'

"Waiting this thing out is a good option for a lot of people right now because there's no gate."
