Dana White is "hoping" the San Antonio gunman who shot eight people at a bar in Texas is not employed by the MMA promotion after claiming to be a UFC fighter.
A man wounded five woman and three men on Friday night after he was denied entry to a bar because he was too drunk.

Local police chief William McManus claims the shooter said: "Don't you know who I am? I'm a UFC fighter from California."
The UFC president was asked about the horrific incident following Saturday's UFC card in Las Vegas.
Speaking at the post-fight press conference, he said: "How crazy is that sh*t? This world is just f**king bananas right now.

"If you don't think that I didn't hear about that one at 7am this morning. I hope it's not true, but I hear that sh*t all the time.
"You know how many bald guys walk around this town saying they're me? It's mind boggling. If I told you some of the stories you wouldn't believe them."
He added: "I'm hoping that's the case [with the San Antonio shooter]."
Police say the man grabbed a long rifle from a car across the street then walked back and opened fire outside the bar.

The eight individuals shot were transported to hospitals with a bullet to the back the most serious injury sustained during the shooting.
The UFC, meanwhile, have over 500 fighters on its books as they hold events behind closed doors in America due to the coronavirus crisis.
