Josh Thomson is the only man to KO Nate Diaz in the UFC, and he inflicted the Stockon slugger with his first stoppage defeat via strikes with a brutal head-kick.
Thomson reintroduced himself to the UFC back in 2013 in stunning style as he viciously defeated Diaz in their feature bout at UFC on FOX 7.
Diaz was doing what he does best and that's taunting his opponent right from the outset, but Thomson brought the heat - applying pressure, tagging him in the first round.

Thomson then caused serious damage in the second round after landing a smashing head-kick.
The head-kick hurt Diaz bad and Thomson jumped on him. Diaz couldn't withstand the attack as Mike Beltran halted the contest three minutes into the second round.
Diaz's corner had also seen enough as older brother Nick threw in the towel to protect his younger sibling from taking an absolute beating.
And just like that, Thomson became the first man to finish Diaz in the UFC.

Thomson went onto fight for the UFC title but lost a narrow decision to Benson Henderson.
Diaz, meanwhile, rebounded from that defeat by stopping Gray Maynard. He then lost a catch-weight bout to Rafael dos Anjos before beating Michael Johnson, which earned him a shot at Conor McGregor on short notice.
He submitted the Irishman in an epic showing. The pair ran it back with McGregor eking out a decision victory.

Diaz then made his long-awaited UFC return last August as he out-pointed Anthony Pettis.
But he came up short in his bid to become the 'baddest motherf**ker of the Octagon' as he lost to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244.
