When Jorge Masvidal Had A Street Fight In Kimbo Silce's Backyard
Jorge Masvidal may have shot to fame in the UFC following his destructive KO's over Darren Till and Ben Askren, but he's been a savage fighter for quite some time.
Before breaking into the MMA scene with promotions like Bellator, Strikeforce and UFC, Masvidal made a name for himself as a street fighter.
The superstar welterweight began his fighting career on the streets, more specifically, alongside the iconic Kimbo Slice who sadly passed away in 2016.
Masvidal once fought in Kimbo's backyard and went toe-to-toe with his protege 'Ray'. He faced the 200lb beast before his professional MMA career and smashed him up in front of Kimbo.
Masvidal has released a documentary series ahead of his UFC 244 fight against Nate Diaz, and he's broke the street fight down.
"I was training in the same gym as Kimbo," he explained. "He got in contact with us and said 'Hey wanna scrap? I was like hell yeah'.
"I get the call, maybe like a week from that date. Literally, I was about to place my order at McDonalds; 'Hey you wanna fight today?' I was like hell yeah, damn right. Let's do it'."
The video proves that Masvidal is one of the baddest motherf*ckers in the game, and perfectly vindicates UFC's decision to have him challenge for the promotion's inaugural BMF title.
