What Khabib Nurmagomedov Has Said About Giving Conor McGregor A Rematch

Khabib Nurmagomedov feels Conor McGregor doesn't 'deserve' a rematch following their fight at UFC 229.

Last year, in October, Khabib Nurmagomedov successfully defended his UFC lightweight title against Conor McGregor by submitting him in the fourth round.

Of course, chaos ensued seconds after McGregor tapped to Nurmagomedov's neck crank.

Both fighters have to sit in front of the Nevada State Athletic Commission before they get their next assignment inside the famed Octagon.

But McGregor is angling for a rematch in 2019. However, Nurmagomedov isn't too keen on running it back.

"We'll see," he said when asked about a potential second meeting.

"He didn't deserve this," he added. "Rematch for what? Before the last fight, he talk too. But when we go to the inside of the cage, he just, he don't do nothing."

Who's next for Nurmagomedov, then? Tony Ferguson? Dustin Poirier?

"Anyone," the 155 lbs king said when asked who he wants to face next.

"Anyone. We have to wait for court."

As previously mentioned, the Dagestan phenom is awaiting his punishment for the brawl which marred UFC 229.

Though as for a next possible opponent. There's a few tasty options.

Tony Ferguson has been matched up against Nurmagomedov FOUR times but they've failed to meet inside the cage as a result of last minute drop-outs. Fifth times the charm, right?

Poirier, meanwhile, is on a three-fight win streak since his no-contest against Eddie Alvarez back at UFC 211, and he's hoping for a first crack at UFC gold.

There's also a wildcard in the form of Georges St-Pierre who continues to flirt with a return to the UFC.

Who do you want to see Nurmagomedov fight next? Don't say Floyd Mayweather.
