MMA veteran Dennis Hallman caused a stir at UFC 133 when he wore a 'skimpy blue speedo' for his bout against Brian Ebersole.

Hallman sported the bizarre attire while facing Ebersole on the main card of UFC 133, but came out with a crushing defeat.

Ebersole stopped Hallman in the first round after a ground and pound victory, and his quick work was well received by Dana White who handed him a massive $70,000 honorary bonus for "getting those horrifying shorts off TV as soon as possible."

The horrified UFC president added: "I'm seriously p**sed off at the guys who work for us who let him walk out with those things on.

"I've never been so embarrassed to be in the UFC.

"It was as bad as bad can get," he said, shaking his head.

Later, he continued by saying he was "grossed out" and said Hallman's speedo "crossed the line."

White then put a ban on speedo-type attire being worn inside the Octagon.

Why did Hallman wear a blue speedo for his UFC clash? Well, his terrible choice of attire was down to a lost bet to a teammate.

"I won't say what the bet was about, but I lost a bet to those guys and losing the bet meant that I got to wear some speedos," he revealed.

"I thought it was funny. I didn't think anybody would be cross about it."

Hallman had one more fight in the UFC before being ruthlessly cut by the promotion.
