Jorge Masvidal has teased a blockbuster rematch with UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in December.

Masvidal lost a lopsided decision to Usman at UFC 251 after stepping in on just six days' notice.

But 'Gamebred' wants to run it back with 'The Nigerian Nightmare' following their 'Fight Island' clash last month.

He's teased a second meeting with the current UFC welterweight king in November or December.

When asked about his return to the Octagon, the 35-year-old replied: "Hopefully, December/November."

He added: "My opponent has a broken nose, he's going to be out for a couple days due to me. He does have a broken nose.

"I think next week we're going to find out just how long he's out for and then we'll start determining who will be the next fight and where."

Usman's dominant victory over Masvidal came at a price as he suffered a broken nose.

And it appears Team Masvidal will wait until they find out how long he's out for before committing to his next UFC assignment.

But one thing's for sure, the BMF champion is hellbent on facing Usman again.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani after UFC 251, he said: "I want that damn belt, and I'm stubborn. And I know I'm better than Usman, and I want to prove it. I want to fight again.

"I'm not going to take nothing from him; he won the first one. Let's do it again."

UFC president Dana White teased that Masvival vs. McGregor could be the biggest fight in UFC history, but the Miami superstar isn't interested in facing the retired Irishman for now.

"You can tell me that McGregor right now would make X, Y, Z dollars, the biggest pay-per-view you get in history, right, and I'm going to get paid forever," he added.

"I feel I'm getting compensated well enough now that if I keep making the right decisions I've been doing, this money is forever money. So, it's not about money."
