UFC's options were dwindled after Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) recently denied reports that it would lift combat license bans to allow UFC to stage fights at the APEX facility.
The show's main event will see Tony Ferguson taking on Justin Gaethje in an interim lightweight title clash, with the winner setting up a huge match with Khabib Nurmagmedov down the road.
Khabib was set to main event the original show on April 18 but had to pull out due to the ongoing pandemic.

Despite fans being desperate to see Khabib take on Ferguson, Gaethje recently admitted he is looking forward to being the one who 'royally screws up' their plans.
"Unless they want the world to end they should probably leave that fight [Khabib vs Tony] alone," he told ESPN's Brett Okamoto on Wednesday.
"As a fan, I wanna see that fight just as much as anybody," 'The Highlight' explained.
"But to put food on my table ... I really don't care about that. I will feel a little bit bad about that because I know how bad people want it. But for me to act like it would bother me, that would be a lie.
"I'm gonna be very happy to royally screw that up."
Elsewhere on the card, Henry Cejudo is set to defend his bantamweight title against Dominick Cruz while Francis Ngannou squares off with Jairzinho Rozenstruick in heavyweight action.
