A blockbuster UFC clash between Tony Ferguson and Dustin Poirier is in the works, according to Dana White.
The UFC president revealed some exciting news when he announced that Ferguson has a bout lined up.

Following UFC Vegas 7 on Saturday, he provided an update on 'El Cucuy' during the post-fight press conference.
When asked whether Poirier is the opponent for Ferguson, White replied: "Probably."
Ferguson hasn't fought since his devastating defeat to Justin Gaethje at UFC 249.

His loss in April snapped a 12-fight winning streak which included victories over Rafael dos Anjos, Kevin Lee and Donald Cerrone.
Poirier, meanwhile, last fought in June when he beat Dan Hooker in a 'Fight of the Year' contender.
A deal is not yet in place but the showdown is reportedly in the works for October.
Poirier took to social media after White spilled the beans. On Twitter, he simply wrote: "El Diamante."
He's making a reference to both his nickname 'The Diamond' and Ferguson's moniker.

Ferguson vs. Poirier has all the makings of a potential 'Fight of the Year' candidate.
