Tony Ferguson Deadlifting Is The Most Awkward Thing You'll Watch Today

Tony Ferguson Deadlifting Is The Most Awkward Thing You'll Watch Today

Tony Ferguson's bizarre deadlifting technique has worried fans online as he continues his road to recovery following his UFC 249 loss.

Ferguson is back in the gym and working out ahead of a potential Octagon return after his devastating defeat to Justin Gaethje last month.

But his weight training has left some fans disturbed and you can see why.

'El Cucuy' shared a clip of himself deadlifting, though fans on social media questioned his technique and expressed some concern about his back.

Naturally, Ferguson's deadlift sent social media wild.

"My back hurts watching this," one Twitter user wrote.

A second tweeted: "Hard to believe a professional athlete doesn't have someone telling him not to do this."

A third added: "This is a typical case of someone sacrificing form to look cool and say they dead lifted a big amount. Bye Bye Tony's back."

Ferguson last fought at UFC 249, where he suffered a crushing defeat to Gaethje. His 12-fight winning streak was snapped by 'The Highlight' who claimed the interim UFC lightweight title.

But it appears he's eyeing his next opponent in the shape of Conor McGregor even though the Irishman recently announced his retirement.

Khabib Nurmagomedov's manager Ali Abdelaziz has also suggested Ferguson as a potential opponent for 'The Notorious'.

"Right now, he's on punishment for his bad behaviour. Right now, he needs to sit down," he told TMZ.

"Go fight Tony Ferguson, stay busy, stay active. Go fight Jorge Masvidal," he added. "Stay active, I want to see activity. Remember, he used to say that to all of us, guess what? Payback is a bitch.

"Same old prostitute, he wants attention."
