Disgraced Former UFC Champ TJ Dillashaw Issues Statement As His Octagon Return Draws Closer

Dillashaw has made a huge statement ahead of his UFC comeback.

Former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw says he'll reclaim "what's mine" when he finally returns to action next year.

Dillashaw is currently serving a two-year suspension for failing a drug test following his defeat to Henry Cejudo in January 2019.

The 34-year-old is eligible to make his eagerly-awaited UFC comeback in January 2021.

He's in the best shape of his life as his return draws closer.

And ahead of making the walk to the Octagon, Dillashaw has made a huge statement on social media.

He said that he will recapture UFC gold. On Instagram, he wrote: "My return will be here soon and ready to reclaim what's mine!"

Dillashaw voluntarily vacated his UFC bantamweight title due to a failed drug test. His last fight was for the UFC flyweight title.

The UFC bantamweight title is currently in the hands of Petr Yan who claimed the vacant gold strap against Jose Aldo at UFC 251.

Deiveson Figueiredo, meanwhile, claimed the vacant UFC flyweight title after stopping Joseph Benavidez on 'Fight Island' in July.

It's unsure which division Dillashaw will return at upon his comeback, but his remarkable physique suggests he's gunning for the 135lbs title.

The Ultimate Fighter alum boasts victories over Renan Barao (x2), John Lineker and Cody Garbrandt (x2), among others.
