It looks like Conor McGregor might have 'planted the seed' on January 1st when he labelled Khabib Nurmagomedov's performance at UFC 219 as "dog shit" on social media.
After Khabib extended his perfect professional record to 25-0 by battering Edson Barboza in three straight rounds,McGregor continued his Twitter rant by saying 'get on your fucking knees and beg me'.
But will this fight actually happen?
The talk surrounding a possible bout between two of the biggest names in UFC is stronger than ever and Khabib's latest interview is seriously an incredible read.

McGregor, who has said on many occasion that money plays a big factor in a fight, might enjoy Khabib's latest comments.
Speaking to TMZ Sports about a fight with McGregor, the 29-year-old offered to fight him for free. That's right. Khabib will fight 'Notorious' for £0:
"Zero. I don't need money, I need only real fights, fights for the title. I don't fight for the money. I fight for my legacy, I fight for history, I fight for my people, that's why I'm here." Khabib said.
Khabib made his first Octagon trip of 2017 following a year blighted with injuries and weigh-in mishaps, but would he be victorious in a bout with Conor McGregor?

Daniel Cormier certainly doesn't think so.
"Conor would have to knock him out or he would be in trouble." Cormier said via Twitter. "And I don't know if anyone can knock him out unless he gets kicked in head or knee. No punch will do it."
Who would win? McGregor or Khabib?
