Khabib's Father Invites Conor McGregor To Dagestan For Combat Tournament

Khabib's Father Invites Conor McGregor To Dagestan For Combat Tournament

Conor McGregor, the man who insulted and taunted Khabib Nurmagomedov on several occasions before his defeat at UFC 229, has been personally invited to Russia for a combat tournament by the Dagestani's father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

Abdulmanap was labelled a 'snivelling coward' by McGregor during a UFC 229 press conference in Las Vegas.

But weeks after his son made the Irish fighter tap in the fourth, Nurmagomedov has clearly forgiven Conor for his actions.

Khabib's father was not able to attend the fight because of VISA problems, but could meet the man who had such a bitter feud with his son in December.

"Distinguished guests, I invite again to the tournament our close friend [actor and former UFC fighter] Oleg Taktarov and [Conor] McGregor," Abdulmanap said via Russia Today.

"I said that I forgive him [for all the insults], it's important to be kind-hearted!"

The fact that Abdulmanap has forgiven McGregor, who trash talked his way through press conferences, throwing insults and accusations at his opponent, is quite the statement.

The whole rivalry had been personal from the moment that Khabib had approached Artem Lobov, which led to McGregor's confrontation with the bus.

All of that continued in the pre fight build up with the former lightweight and featherweight champions taking shots at Khabib for his political allegiance and at the Russian's manager for his past.

It got nasty, to say the least, but Khabib's father actually issued a statement days after his son's historic victory. saying that he forgives Conor for everything that happened in the past.

It says so much about the man himself.
