Ben Askren's attempt at a spinning back-fist during his main-event bout against Demian Maia has been widely ridiculed on social media.
The American welterweight suffered his second straight UFC loss to the hands of Maia, who pulled off a superb rear naked-choke in the third round.
Askren, though, had some success before succumbing to Maia's ground artistry, but he failed to land his spinning back-fist which didn't go unnoticed on social media.
UFC fans took to social media to share their thoughts on his striking and it doesn't make for good reading.
Askren's 1-2 since signing for the UFC. He's now on a two-fight losing streak following his devastating five-second KO to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 239 in July.

Shortly after his main-event bout in Singapore, he took to Twitter to apologise to everyone who he let down. "Made a bad decision and I failed. Sorry to everyone who I let down."
Will Askren bounce back from his second UFC loss?
