Nate Diaz Vs. Conor McGregor Trilogy - Just Book It Already

Nate Diaz Vs. Conor McGregor Trilogy - Just Book It Already

The blockbuster trilogy between Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor is the fight to make - not Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal.

To steal a phrase from announcer Bruce Buffer - "IT'S TIME" to make the biggest fight possible in the UFC.

Today marks the three year anniversary of the epic rematch between Diaz and McGregor. It's one of the greatest rivalries in UFC history, and it still hasn't fully played out.

Diaz's cult-like following increased exponentially following his stunning victory against Anthony Pettis at UFC 241. He's back in the mix and while he called out Masvidal, it's time to make the McGregor trilogy.

Diaz's stardom has erupted upon his return. He's now a needle mover. His current stock paired with the return of McGregor is a lucrative recipe to create the biggest fight in UFC history.

MMA is an unpredictable sport, and a loss can destroy a fighter's momentum. Therefore, it's key UFC strike while the iron is hot if they want to cash in on their feud and give the fans the match-up they want to see.

Diaz vs. McGregor promotes itself. They have one win apiece following their fights in 2016 which remain etched in MMA folklore. Their second bout was the most successful fight in UFC history, but a third meeting would be even bigger.

McGregor hasn't fought since his devastating defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov but he's desperate to return to action with Diaz the perfect opponent to match him up with.

Considering the unpredictable nature of Diaz and McGregor's inability to abide with the law, make the rubber match before it's too late.

With both fighters in the spotlight - for good and bad reasons, it's time to end the Diaz vs. McGregor chapter.

Just book it already, Dana White.
