But the highly-anticipated clash hasn't gone down too well with Diaz who slammed the bout on social media.
On Twitter, he wrote: "Let's don't get it twisted I already smoked these 2 now they play fighting."
The Stockton slugger then appeared to respond to Dan Hooker's challenge: "165 Lbs."
Diaz continued his Twitter tirade by calling out "fake ass" UFC fighters.

"The offer wasn't for you dumbass. Real fighters only. You already lost. And you and your teammate are both fighting your friends. Fake ass fighters."
Diaz famously beat McGregor at UFC 196 when he submitted him in the second round of their welterweight contest.
He claims to have beaten Poirier yet they've never met inside the Octagon.
Diaz and Poirier were matched up against each other at UFC 230, though the bout fell through.

However, 'The Diamond' is willing to throw down if 209's finest wants to fight.
"He did beat Conor, he didn't beat me... If he wants to fight, let's go. I'll slap him up," he told ESPN in response to Diaz's tweet.
Meanwhile, McGregor vs. Poirier looks set to headline UFC 257 with the Irishman eyeing AT&T Stadium in Texas.

Diaz, on the other hand, hasn't fought since his TKO loss to Jorge Masvidal at UFC 244 last November.
