Conor McGregor says his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier is "booked" and has posted a defiant message to his fans ahead of his UFC return.

Poirier officially signed his contract to fight McGregor for a third time last night, according to ESPN reporter Ariel Helwani.

And McGregor has now followed suit - claiming the fight is a done deal for July 10.

He tweeted: "The fight is booked! July 10th you're gonna see what the Mac is about. Adjust and absolutely f**king destroy!"

The blockbuster rubber match between Poirier and McGregor will headline UFC 264 this summer.

Of course, the American star stopped McGregor at UFC 257 in January in a rematch of their 2014 featherweight clash.

The Irishman beat Poirier in the first round back at UFC 178.

UFC president Dana White has previously said that he's targeting Poirier vs. McGregor III for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

It's also claimed that the event is expected to be open to fans.

Upcoming shows UFC 261 (Jacksonville, Florida) and UFC 262 (Houston, Texas) will return to full capacity.
