Nurmagomedov is set to defend his belt against interim champion Justin Gaethje on October 24.
And Rogan reacted to the showdown by hyping up the lightweight clash. On Instagram, he wrote: "It would be impossible for me to be more excited about this fight.
"The return of the GOAT lightweight king, @khabib_nurmagomedov vs his most dangerous challenger, @justin_gaethje. I CAN'T F**KING WAIT."
His post sent social media wild with both McGregor and Nurmagomedov leaving a comment.
The Irishman, who retired last month, replied: "Chill bro i'd a hangover."

As for the undefeated MMA superstar, he teased: "October - Justin and April - GSP."

McGregor has been linked with a rematch against Nurmagomedov ever since his crushing defeat back at UFC 229 in October 2018.
While Nurmagomedov is eyeing a blockbuster fight with UFC legend Georges St-Pierre in April 2021 if he gets past Gaethje.
Talks of Nurmagomedov vs. St-Pierre increased after Dana White said he'd entertain the bout if the current lightweight king asked to face the Canadian megastar.
"At the end of the day, the Conor McGregor [rematch], I know Conor has wanted that fight since the last one [in October 2018]," he explained.
"That's a fight to make, but I don't know. We'll see how this plays out. Sure, [I would be open to St-Pierre] if it's his last fight. This guy's been great to the company, great to the sport. I like Khabib a lot. I would do anything Khabib wanted to do."
St-Pierre, who had one of the most dominant title reigns in UFC history, then responded to the UFC president's claim.
GSP recently re-affirmed his desire to stay retired, but the Khabib fight could lead to a change of heart :eyes:
