Jorge Masvidal has dismissed claims he's set to fight UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in July at UFC 252.
He's responded to a tweet suggesting the bout is in the works for UFC's annual international fight weekend in July.

"A fight between UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman (@USMAN84kg) and BMF champion Jorge Masvidal (@GamebredFighter) is in the works for July 2020 (UFC 252)," the post reads.
But Masvidal swiftly shut that rumour down by saying: "No it's not."
UFC president Dana White is hoping to book Usman vs. Masvidal but the 'Nigerian Nightmare' doesn't believe his rival deserves a shot at the title.
"Eh. Who cares?" Usman said about Masvidal. "Honestly, I'm being honest, if you talk about a guy who is deserving of a title shot, it's Leon Edwards... This guy hasn't lost since he fought me.

"Has been fighting tough guys. He's in the same position that I was in over a year and a half ago and that's when guys recognize that you're tough and they don't want to take that gamble of fighting you and having you step over them. He's a guy who I know is tough, and I recognize his talents for sure."
The BMF champion fired back at Usman's claim by threatening to "break his face" if they meet.
"When I fight Usman, I'm going to break his face," the Miami native said. "He can't hang with me, he's too one-dimensional, he's not skilled and he sure as hell ain't tough.
"I'll be able to get a lot done that I want to get accomplished, and that's it. Then I'm done." Masvidal added. "That'll be 19 professional years in [MMA], even I have to graduate at some point."
